If you've read my blog for long, you know that math is one of those subjects that turn my otherwise happy children into an unreasonable, arguing bunch, so I was thrilled to get a chance to review the one-year subscription of the Family Membership for my entire family from CTCMath, and homeschoolers can get a Free Trial or 60% off + 6 bonus months.
AS A HOMESCHOOLER AND READER OF MY BLOG, CTCMath WOULD LIKE TO ALLOW YOU TO CHOOSE YOUR SPECIAL OFFER:

What is CTCMath?
CTCMath is an online Math curriculum. It provides you with all grade levels of math skills from Kindergarten through Calculus. The lessons consist of a short video followed by a quiz (or for higher level math, a worksheet) that you complete onscreen with immediate feedback. There is also the option to print lesson summaries, reports, tests, and questions from pdf files. The solution keys and answers are also provided, and if you need to, you can go back over lessons to really make sure the student is learning. The higher level math lessons also provide a worksheet that you can print if you prefer pencil to paper solutions and then enter the answers onscreen. There are also online diagnostic tests that comply with your individual state's standards.
The time it takes to complete each lesson varies. For instance, a Kindergarten lesson may take just a few minutes whereas the high school level lessons include a longer video, some videos are about 10 minutes long, followed by problems to complete that may take some time depending on how quickly the student is learning.
How Did We Use It?
Our family now range from Grade 5 (who is really skirting Grade 4 skills) to Senior in High School, so I got to experience a wide range of CTC teaching. As soon as I logged on as a parent/teacher, I could immediately see my children's progress and assign tasks. I really had more in mind my younger child who is a math phobic, but quickly realized the benefits this site offers for my high schoolers. It's difficult to find a solid math program out there for higher level math that fits my children's learning styles.
From the parent/teacher perspective, all of the information I needed to see their online activity was right there on my Home screen. When you log in as a student, each student is able to change their background colors if they want. Obviously, my children's screens changed to their favorite colors. From there, all of the lessons and diagnostic tests are easy to find and follow.

What Did We Think?
CTCMath is an amazing resource for families who have a wide range of math learning level students like we do. It is also fantastic for an individual to customize lessons. I'm so excited that we have the opportunity to experience this level of teaching. I was really happy that it provides multiple resources and not just the video teaching. While the lessons and the tests are done on screen, there are some aspects of the program that are provided in pdf format, so you can print them. I loved that the answer, and for higher level math, the solution key was available so the student could immediately see what they did wrong on problems they miss.
