I was so excited to have the opportunity of reviewing Put On Your PJs, Piggies through the Booklook for Bloggers Review program. Get ready to snuggle up with your toddlers and prepare for bed with this sweet story.
It's PJ time at Bedtime Barn, but the little piggies don't want to go to sleep. They want to keep playing. Then, of course, they want a snack and need a bubble bath and a song.
The artwork illustrated by Sydney Hanson is delightful and sweet. It makes you wish there was a plush pig to go with the story to snuggle.
The cover has a sparkly, texturized moon that starts the story with your child's interaction to touch. It immediately moves into the farm's barnyard with pigs, cows, and a lamb. See the moon?
Throughout the book, there are repetitive phrases like:
Ready for PJs, piggies?
Almost PJ time, piggies!
Get ready for PJs, piggies!
Time for PJs, piggies!
Put on your PJs, piggies!

Of course, there is a bedtime prayer,

The book would make a fun read-aloud for laptime books as it calls for interaction through the sensory touch and feel pages but also presents a sweet story. It would make a great opportunity to engage your child in a book.
