CursiveLogic WORKBOOK
CursiveLogic workbook - CursiveLogic is a unique, simple and logical method of teaching cursive handwriting that uses color-coding with different series of shapes and connected letters. It is presented in 10 lessons, with each lesson intended to take one week. I received two paperback consumable workbooks and access to a Vimeo webinar that explained how to use the program.
What changed from their previous books?
We reviewed CursiveLogic a year or so ago, and since then they have changed the book quite a bit. I really like the changes. For one thing, the new book has more pages in it, and like the other book, also has dry erase pages. One change that may sound minor but really means a lot to us is that the type font seems larger making it easier to read, and there are shades of color on the corners of the pages that make it easy to tell if you are on the front or the flip side of the book. Also, the lesson Days are clearly marked and easier to follow. One of the best improvements is that there is clear instruction at the beginning of each lesson Day page. Plus, it seemed like there is actually more practice opportunities with this new book.
You can see a quick comparison between the old book and the new book and also hopefully notice an improvement in my daughter's cursive as well:

THE ART OF CURSIVE
The Art of Cursive - The Art of Cursive is a very special coloring book. It integrates cursive letter shapes into pictures to color. This book is great for adults or for students who have completed the CursiveLogic program.
How Did We Use It?
My daughter had used CursiveLogic before, so she was already familiar with the process. I was curious to see how her handwriting progressed after using an older version of the program compared to her using the new books, and I'm pretty sure there's been ani mprovement. Since she was familiar with it, I pretty much handed it over to her to work.
What Did We Think?
I really love the color-coding and the logical approach. Another thing I appreciate is that the CursiveLogic book doesn't have a spiral binding that has been carefully designed to be at the top of the pages so that it won't get in your way of handwriting. I also love how the pages lay flat. Since she is an artist at heart, she absolutely loved The Art of Cursive and really made some beautiful pictures by coloring in it. I love how The Art of Cursive allows her to practice the motion of the letters integrated within the pictures while she is relaxing and enjoying coloring.
