I was thrilled to get a chance to review the 24 pack of Magic Stix Washable Markers from The Pencil Grip, Inc. And, oh how we love these! Let me share what makes them unique.
What is Magic Stix Washable Markers?
Magic Stix washable markers are not your ordinary marker. First, they are solid, not too chunky but not thin, and they feel good in your hands. Second, the colors are brilliant! They are odorless, non-toxic and available in 12 and 24 packs. The lids are vented for safety, I am assuming in case a child swallows one, though they would be very difficult to swallow in the first place.
THEY COME WITH A SPECIAL GUARANTEE!
The best part is that they don't dry out when you leave the lid off - OK, the company states that you can leave the lid off for up to a week without the ink drying out. So, I put it to the test.

How Did We Use It?
First, let me tell you how fun it is to see my little artist's face light up when I open art supplies. These Magic Stix washable markers come is such a nice package that they would also make a great gift for birthday parties, Easter baskets, or Christmas. The container is a nice, durable plastic and clicks closed with a carry handle to make it easy to tote around. Each marker has a little slot so they don't all roll around into each other as you transport them from room to room or when you're out and about with them in a backpack. And, the markers themselves are really high quality with pretty colors that don't seem to ever fade.
I handed them over to my art-loving daughter who went to town. She began using the markers every chance she got with school assignments and art designs.

What Did We Think?
So, what did we think? TO SAY I AM IMPRESSED WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT! First off, my daughter loves the beautiful colors and also the fact that they include necessary colors like gray, black, and brown. She has been using Magic Stix markers for every bit of school work I will allow her to. But, the most impressive part is that 7-day lid-free no-dry-out guarantee.
We put the markers to the test to see if they would stay fresh and not dry out as they claim with the lid off for 7 days. Well, I decided to do a side-by-side test with an ordinary washable marker. The results are going to surprise you! Actually, my first surprise was that the ordinary washable marker actually didn't dry out after a few hours like is usually our experience. But, the Magic Stix Washable Marker went above and beyond.
...Since the marker seemed to still be going strong after 7 days, I didn't stop the test after the 7-Day guarantee has shown it's true colors and passed the test.
I kept the test going...
As of the posting of this review, I have had the lid off of the brown marker for 28 days. I'd like to share the picture of how the marker was still performing after 27 days. I was able to write and color an entire picture. Any streak marks you see if more of a matter of my hand getting tired than it is of signs the marker is drying out. Actually, somehow, as I colored it seemed like it was getting darker if anything.
Here are some pictures of our little test:
I decided to compare the Magic Stix side-by-side with another washable marker. Magic Stix was still going strong long after the other marker was drying and fading beyond any quality use. And, I have to add that our experience has typically been that most markers tend to dry out on us if the lid is left off overnight, so I wasn't expecting the other marker to even make it to Day 6 like it did, sorta! But, Magic Stix was going strong as if the lid had never been left off at all!

In the picture, Day 22 looks lighter than Day 23, but I think this is because I took the picture when Day 23 was still wet and fresh, as you can see by the next picture that Day 23 looks a little lighter after it has dried on the paper. But, the test was still going strong with the marker performing well even after 23 days of no cap on it!
I decided to compare Day 25 with the lid off to Day 1 with the lid off, and if anything, the Magic Stix washable marker looks even darker. But, it definitely has not faded a bit which I find to be truly amazing and wonder what the magic is behind it since there is not strong marker odor.
THE MARKER PASSED THE 7-DAY TRIAL
And, continued on 20 more days going strong... AND, as of this posting, IS STILL GOING!
