Pinterest Homeschool - Kitchen Painting on Aluminum Foil

We decided to do our own little Pinterest-worthy pictures and pulled out everyday kitchen supplies to get it done. That's right - We used aluminum foil, toothpicks, and well - paints.

My daughter is a fan of everything elephant, so we of course, made elephant pictures.

We took a strip of aluminum foil, and indented the elephant pic onto it. We then painted the entire foil blue. Once it was dry, we were able to paint around the crevices of the elephants, black and then scrape off the blue paint on just the elephant bodies. We then, took crafting puffy sparkling paint and dotted the bubbles and made a water stream coming out of the baby elephant's trunk.

My son especially loved the way the water looks 3D with the bends in the foil.

We were really just experimenting, but I'm happy with how cute it turned out.

What do you think?
