Day 12 Ornament - A scroll or Bible.
Day 12 Scriptures - II Kings 23:1-3
This is the account of King Josiah finding the scrolls of God's laws in the temple and insisting that the people abide by what the scroll read; and
Psalm 119:105 - "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
The Old Testament readings show how important it is to abide by God's Words. The people had become lazy and began worshiping idols and such. When Josiah read the law, the Words fell upon them; and, they changed their ways (at least for awhile).
Jesus comes to us later to be revealed as "The Word made flesh."
