Homeschooling on the Road - Homeschooling Looks Like This Somedays Day 1

Sometimes series that I start on my blog do well. Other times, they fizzle. I cannot promise how long this one will last or how well it will do, but I had the idea to do 365 days of homeschooling and show pictures of highlights of our day. Then, I realized this may be far fetched, so I'm just going to start some posts about how homeschooling looks sometimes.

So let's see how this goes. We are currently on tour in WI with my family. So, these first pics are going to consist of homeschooling on the road with travel pics. But, a great deal of what the kids actually remember in their studies has come from things we have done while on tour or vacation. We tend to gravitate toward the educational events or offerings in each city.

This day includes a boat tour in downtown Milwaukee. It was a narrated tour that told the history of hightlighted architecture and more of the city.

There is an art display for a limited time throughout the city. This one is two cones. Interesting!

I wish we would have had more time to walk out to this lighthouse.

It was very windy, we were worried the sailboat would tip. But, I got a great shot of the bridge that was used for its entry ramps in the Blues Brothers movie.

The draw bridge opened for us to pass through. More on this later.

Our traveling mascot, Peara.

Happy Days, vintage TV, the Fonz! The kids barely know who he is, but we had to pose with him anyway.

My drama daughter doing a swoon pose (it's posed, she really doesn't hardly know who the Fonz was)

Next: The progression of the drawbridge opening:

Of course, the elephant accompanied us as well!
