Are you ready to be a Kingdom Code Kid KCK?

What Did We Think?

I am completely stoked about this product. Two things I want to teach my children are:

Love God with all of your heart, soul, and mind while treating others with love
and
Learn how to survive in the real world

This course does both! And, the impressive packaging it arrived in sealed the deal showing how much the company personally cares about this course.

As a special bonus, I also received the JR Budget Kit and The Kingdom Code Coloring Book

What is Kingdom Code?

Students build a business from the ground up. The process is presented in a thorough and understandable manner, having the child eventually analyze their business and learning customer service and marketing. They begin by choosing a mentor, completing a business plan and starting their marketing campaigns. They, then actually begin to work to earn money. As the lessons progress, they begin to learn how to keep a ledger, determine an income statement, make calls, and even learn customer service by writing thank you notes to their customers and conducting follow-up calls.

The Student Book contains 27 lessons are broken down into several components, each with a separate purpose:

They each start with a Proclamation that has the child stand and recite a biblical truth.
Check Your Path refers the student to complete a worksheet page
Quest for the Clue allows the child to search for clues to learn about The Kingdom Code
Code of Honor has a Bible verse and character code
Share your Thoughts gets your kids thinking and talking about concepts and ideas
Treasure Seeking helps your child discover facts that lead to the Treasures of the Kingdom with God's help
Action Time and On Your Own allows the student to complete activities or play games

The end of each lesson provides a Kingdom Keys page that sums up the lesson.

Along the way, key terms relating to financial responsibility God's way are introduced. There is also a glossary of terms at the end of the book.

Additionally, there are Bonus Code Work sections that provide additional activities and resources.

Also, enjoy access to the Kingdom Code site.

The Kingdom Code is biblically based and includes verses from the Bible in every lesson. This course is designed as a 34-week course and intended to be taught two times a week, each session lasting approximately 45 minutes. The lessons are adaptable to fit your individual or family homeschooling needs, but each student will need their own Student Book. So, plan on buying an additional Student Starter Kit or a Student Packet for each child to use.

Project had child paint a rock and write the date when they asked Christ into their hearts.

How Did We Use It?

When we started the course, it required a bit of parental guidance, which I personally loved because I was anxious to see what it was all about and wanted to learn right alongside my child. After Lesson 8, the lessons become much simpler for the parents to be a bit more hands off, though guidance from a parent throughout the course is recommended.

So, I sat down to see what the course was all about and how I would use it with my daughter.

The curriculum is not all about only learning facts about money but also has the student actually choose a service business to start and then walks them through setting up and running the business.

Our business is two-fold. Since it stressed the idea of creating a service-based business, we thought about what my daughter could offer. One thing she does great is she has a servant's heart, and she cooks great. But, selling food as part of your service gets a little tricky with needing to apply for additional permits and having kitchens approved for commercial cooking. So, realistically, we decided to instead go with her ability to knit. She created some original crochet and knitting designs, and I uploaded the finished product to my Etsy account with an explanation about how she is my rainbow miracle baby that God provided to me, like a river in a dry and barren land. Because I was refreshed with a gift from our Creator, we turned her crafting into not only a product to sell but also a form of a mission project, giving back a portion of each sale to Samaritan's Purse Clean Water Project.
