The lesson explains how these programs are funded through taxes and where our taxes go.
It also talks about pride.

I do agree with how the lesson addresses government programs, though recently we have been up against a wall with my husband's medical emergency that took place in May. I was recommended to apply for disability, which I did, but long story short, it seems like it will be debilitating to be under the rules of only being able to make so much a month if we want to receive the disability. Also, we would be put on medicaid, and it puts a cap on income. Currently, my husband has been motivated to recover by keeping the appointments of musical performances he had scheduled.
SUGGESTIONS, CHANGES, OR ADDITIONS MADE THAT WORKED PARTICULARLY WELL FOR OUR FAMILY:
I think this lesson is good as is with no need to accommodate.

Part of the lesson talked about tigers that pace, which of course made us think of the tiger we always see at the zoo when we go. The zoo train makes a stop at a station right next to the tiger's habitat. This tiger is always pacing.
