TOS Review: Trident Case

Trident Case Review
I was asked to review a Kraken A.M.S. Case for Apple iPad 2/3/4 from Trident Case. The case is for all ages of anyone who owns or uses an iPad.  This specific Trident Case sells for $69.95, made in the USA and military tested.  The "Kraken" line of Trident cases are the strongest, incredibly durable, and to top it off, it is an eco-friendly product.

The package arrived, and I told my son that I wanted him to use it on his iPad. The new case came at the perfect time since my son's previous iPad 2 case (a completely different brand) had recently cracked. I opened up the package, and found the instructions inside. But, it was actually very self explanatory. We slipped on the green rubbery liner, lined up the black hard cover, and then locked the top clear screen cover into place.

This is the step that really impressed both me and my son. The package claimed that the case was "Military Grade", but when we snapped it into place, we knew that we totally agreed with that statement. His iPad was so secure inside this case.Trident Case Review

The case completely encloses and protects the iPad, sealing shut with screw-like latches on each side.

The case surrounds the iPad to protect it, and provides protection for all of the ports with rubbery seals.

He immediately commented on how good it felt in his hands. He also loves how the charger cord opening has a rubberized covering and how the speaker opening for the sound is located on the front.

A huge bonus to us is that when I was asked about color choice for the review, I had asked the company to "surprise me!"  After I selected that option of surprise, I halfway worried that it might be pink when it arrived, and my son would never let me hear the end of it.

But, to my and my son's surprise - It was a combination of black AND HIS FAVORITE COLOR, green. He loves the color.

He has put the Trident case to the test. I have watched as my son has accidentally knocked his iPad off of the arm of a living room chair, studied with his iPad in his bed and fallen asleep, left his iPad in the middle of the floor, and the test of all tests - He allowed his young cousin to use his iPad with the Trident case in tact, and his cousin poked and proded it and then dropped it.

All was well!

He loves the way the case feels in his hands with the rubbery hand grips, and he loves the holes that allow for the iPad speakers to sound. The sound easily filters through the case's speaker holes, and the camera lens is clear to take pics. His only minor complaint is that the rubbery headphone jack port cover sometimes sticks making it difficult to open, and he would prefer that the opening for the Apple logo be enclosed.

Overall, this case is absolutely amazing. It has a screen protector that is a clear sheet of durable plastic that completely covers the top of the iPad. He had only ever used a vinyl cling style screen protector, so he wasn't sure what he would think. The fast result is that he has fallen in love with this style of screen protector. He said that it is easy to use and feels like it's not even there, so no lag time or difficulty in using the touch screen with the clear Trident screen protector in place.
