Creepy or Pretty? Vintage Pretty Ballerina Doll

I have always had a love for dolls. They are super cool when they can do something, like this one. This one dances. I thought it was really cool and that the doll is, just like she is named - pretty. But, when I showed her to my daughter, she said she was kinda creepy.

So, you decide - Creepy or pretty?

Regardless, you can make her your own. She's for sale on eBay.

Take Me Back To A Time That Made Sense

Lately with all of the happenings of the world, my husband said, "I just want to go back to when everything made sense." He was referring to a childhood that seemed free of worry, a time when Gillagan's Island, Batman, and cartoons were on TV. The Beatles were making their entrance onto the rock n roll scene, and everything seemed right with the world in the eyes of this little boy.

A midst all of this reminiscing, we have been going through his parents' basement and our basement filled with mementos from our childhood. Among them are some pretty cool toys of his as well as an old vintage candy box and some Happy meal containers from McDonalds, from my youth.

Search for Captain Action, G I Joe, Batman, Robin, etc. to find his amazing childhood toys here - https://www.ebay.com/str/Graham-Crackers-and-JEllie?_trksid=p2047675.l2563

Throw Back Retro Crystal Snack Trays from the 1950s

So, the girls were gone at theater and dance classes today, and my son was still sleeping. My hubby had three gigs, so I decided to get a little fancy and do a photo shoot with some crystal glass snack trays my mom had given me. My parents have been clearing out their house, and when I was there last week, my mom gave me some old snack trays.  They are really cool!

I remember when we would have a really fancy party or baby or wedding shower, out would come these crystal trays. I did a little research and found out they are from the 40's and 50's era and are made from a company called Hazel Atlas glass. Back then, smoking was in vogue, so the trays are actually called:

Snack, Sip and Smoke trays with cups!

There is actually a little ridge indentation on one corner where you were to place your cigarette with a little place for ashes.

Next to this ridge indentation is a ridge to hold the cup in place, and then there is a larger section meant for food.

I have them listed here, if you want to check them out.  She gave me a couple other sets and extra glasses as well, so I will be listing those soon as well.

Pretty cool, huh?

Online Book Sale and Samaritan's Purse Clean Water eBay Auctions Going On Now

As some of you probably know, I am a writer, a homeschool blogger, and also a seller on eBay. I began selling on eBay as an effort to produce enough money to get my kids a Happy Meal on Family night years ago. Now, it has progressed though I have yet to clear out my basement.

So, part of the reason I did eBay from the start was to give money back through charity auctions. The charity I chose is Samaritan's Purse Clean Water ministry. I chose this because when my rainbow miracle baby was born, I felt as though my dry and barren womb had been given a life-stream of living water. So, I wanted to help those who were in need of a clean life-giving waater expreience.

Currently I have a couple auctions that are set to give a portion of the proceeds to Samritan's Purse. They are:

Feel free to check out my other listings while you're at it.

I also have an online book sale going on now. I shared pictures of books on my Facebook page but will also share them here. If you like any of them, simply make an offer. To do this through my blog, you can comment or message me through the contact info. at the bottom of my blog OR PM me through my Facebook page - Puddle Jumping Blog.

All I ask is that you PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE, start your offer to include shipping, which for books will usually start at about $3.50, depending on where they are being shipped to and their weight. I will happily combine shipping on several books, but keep in mind that as the weight increases so does the USPS price, even with media mail. And, I can't ship things like scale or plush animals media.

So - Happy book buying. Here is what I have to offer:
