What is Easy Grammar Systems?

Easy Grammar is designed to be a teaching textbook. Dr. Phillips is the writer of the texts. Each of the lessons varies in length with many as short as between 5 to 10 minutes and some longer.  The books have reproducible pages with 180 daily teaching lessons presented in an easy, step-by-step approach. Each concept builds upon itself with each new lesson. For example, they may learn about independent and dependent clauses and then use their understanding of the concept to learn the construction of fragments, sentences, etc. after they have mastered the original concept.

Also included are unit reviews, unit tests, and cumulative reviews and tests.

What I received was a teacher edition which contains teaching instructions, answers keys, and reproducible student pages and the Tests booklet.

The lessons include learning about:

Capitalization teaching and application

Punctuation teaching and application

Grammar and other concept teaching and application

Sentence combining for improved writing skills

How Did We Use It?

I received two softback books and was asked to use it with my student for an average of three days per week. I started using it with the intent of it being her main Language Arts studies for this year, but then chose to focus on this each day but use it more as a supplement.

What Did We Think?

This is a nice quick and easy way to learn grammar. I love, love, love how it's not long, boring and complicated but instead easy and fast. It makes the student feel more like they can accomplish something and succeed.
