I was thrilled to get a chance to review Brain Blox Wooden Building Planks from Brain Blox.
What is Brain Blox Wooden Building Planks?
I received a box filled with natural wood planks, all the same size. The box also contained a really really really nice drawstring bag that is a lifesaver for storing the planks once they've been removed from the packaging, for easy storage and access for future use.
How Did We Use It?
As you can see from the above video, these building planks can be used in a variety of ways, for anyone from toddler to old age. We mostly used them with my husband who is rehabbing from a medical emergency he experienced in May that left him with neurological and thinking/reasoning issues. Of course, when my children saw the planks he was building with, they couldn't keep their hands off of them and joined in the fun learning.
We got started by following the helpful instructional booklet that offers tons of ideas on what and how to to build. We also added a bit of creativity.
As if the planks are not enough, they come with this amazing bag where you can store the planks once you've unboxed them all. So, you can use your skills of problem solving and building on being creative and not in trying to fit them back into the box like how they came.

What Did We Think?
These are very cool. Of course, we have a couple of STEM-based kiddos already who love to build. But, watching my husband use them was remarkable. I was surprised when I opened the box as I don't know why, but I assumed they would be a variety of sized planks. They are all the same size, which is what makes it challenging and fun at the same time. I really appreciate the thought that went into designing these and look forward to more building fun learning.
