Here's our experience with LESSON 19:
This lesson is all about money, or currency to be exact. There is a brief history of currency and then discussed banks, deposits, and interest. It explains CDs, Certificates of Deposits and loans as well as savings accounts.
Along with the worksheet, one of the activities included visiting a bank. We didn't just visit one bank, but two.

Money, counting money, understanding banks and interest and such has been a challenge for all of my children, and this one is no exception. I'm not sure why it's difficult to understand the concept of what a bank does when we deposit our money, but money issues and real life, adult finances have baffled them all. So, this lesson really breaks it down to make it understandable.

My daughter has gained a great deal of confidence with her future financial pursuits, and selling a couple items has really helped. Understanding how to be a good steward of God's money is a great way to present this information to her as these are life lessons she will carry with her forever.
We were asked to have our child choose a viable business before the end of Lesson 2 and to complete the Treasure Builder Permit form.
The program emphasizes service businesses, even though we are free to choose a goods-related business instead. The reason they stress service is because business usually requires less money since a goods business requires purchasing supplies and figuring out costs for each item. Service teaches children the ability to please someone else in order to receive compensation. If you choose a goods business, many of the activities will have to be adapted and cost/sale price must be taught thoroughly so profitability is achieved.
