My Homeschool Wordle

Yay!  I did it!  I blogged for 30 straight days.

I hope you enjoyed my posts.

Wordle: Teachable Homeschool

Today is Wordle day for the final day of Blogathon 2013.  Above is the Wordle I created at www.wordle.net

Have some fun yourself.  All you have to do is go to the wordle site, type in some words and then create.  From there, you select color and various other options for word and page layout.

Have some fun!

Express yourself!

Let your kiddos create on the site as well.  It's a really fun way to learn spelling or vocabulary words.

My Homeschool Bus Visits The New Lego Store

Today My Homeschool Bus visits the new Lego Store in St. Louis, at West County Mall.

We arrived at the grand opening of the Lego Store to find stations where kids could build blocks to add to the Incredible Hulk structure and become Master Builders.

We finally  made it to the actual store where we found Star Wars ads.

And, tons of people.  But, the coolest thing was the wall of Lego blocks on the far wall where you can select the bricks you want and fill a bucket.

Believe it or not, my elephant-loving daughter also found a Lego elephant.  There are elephants everywhere this girl goes.

My Homeschool Bus Visits Build A Bear

Today, My Homeschool Bus visits Build A Bear.  It happened spontaneously.  We were in the mall to get a gift from the Lego store for a friend's birthday, and my daughter had the urge to spend some Christmas money on  Pinkie Pie My Little Pony Build a Bear.

I obliged.

The process is interesting and fun.  It's much like an adoption, though your child also decides on what kinds of things go into the heart of the stuffed animal.

In the end, you get the animal completely plumply stuffed and an adoption/birth certification.

My Homeschool Bus Visits Discovery World

Today My Homeschool Bus visits Discovery World in Milwaukee, WI.

The science and aquarium is located directly on Lake Michigan.  The view of the lake is enough to make this a desirable place to visit.  But, there's so much more to see:

My kids got to see what it's like to stand inside a phone booth.

They all three worked together to make music with these blocks that sent some form of electronic wave to create sound.

My children took turns and worked together to light up the lights with their own personal energy.

We even experienced lying on a bed of nails.  One nail, and it hurts.  A bed of nails disperses the weight so it doesn't hurt more than just a small prick that doesn't even pierce the skin.

My husband was in dreamland as he got to have a virtual guitar lesson with the late Les Paul.

My girls chose a craft to make.

We enjoyed a 3D tour of the solar system.
A little musician in the making!

We also ventured into Reiman Aquarium where we set sail on a replica of a boat, that was suspended from the celing and braced to the sides walls.

There were also jelly fish.

This boat was called the Challenger.  A shipbuilder built it, who had no more than an 8th grade education.  Several men spent many days in the bottom section of the boat where the kids were going.  I started down the steps and turned right back around due to claustrophobia and no moving air.  I figured I'd let the kids enjoy the exploring.

Reiman Aquarium had a station where you could pet a bamboo shark or stingray.  We all opted out except for daddy.

Then, it was daddy's turn on the bed of nails. Come, and join the journey of other TOS Review Crew homeschool field trips by clicking on the picture below:
